RISK

A journey of resilience involves taking risks to preserve a life of respect, trust, compassion and intelligent community.

Many times, for days, I have tried to write this ~ one last call concerning leadership. I have started paragraphs and pages – crossed out and thrown out – started over again & again – attempting to  write my insistent truth without insulting or hurting. This blog has for years been titled Journey of Resilience, discovering and defining a positive path….yet I keep arriving at one simple thought; the only possible last piece of a long intense conversation. I ask you to share this as part of your personal conversations during the next few weeks. ~

PLEASE DO NOT VOTE FOR D. TRUMP. ~IT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE for me TO RESPECT OR TRUST ANYONE WHO DOES. IF THIS IS YOU, OR SOMEONE YOU ARE CLOSE TO, please don’t tell me. Please CONTINUE TO SEARCH YOUR HEART & MIND FOR WHAT YOU KNOW TO BE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF ALL.

Vote for anyone else ~ or no one. It is beyond comprehension among intelligent, compassionate human beings and hundreds of respected global leaders that an individual, such as Trump, -a vulgar, angry, intolerant, narcissist, fascist, misogynist, racist, anti-philanthropist – could be rewarded with the most powerful and honored office in the world! This individual could be the leader of our country, of the free world, and the representative of all Americans?

IF TRUMP IS ELECTED. WE WILL ALL BEAR THE RESPONSIBILITY AND THE BURDEN OF GUILT, FOR NOT HAVING DONE ENOUGH TO STOP HIM.

“It takes a village” to tear down walls and build bridges. We have inherited a country based on the highest standards of living in the world ~ compassion, peace, equality, hope.  WE RISK losing those standards….if we do not RISK challenging those who would destroy them.

“When the diagnosis is correct, the healing begins.” ~ Carl Jung

  1. Jane Thomas says:

While I feel the anguish this election is generating, my concern is that if someone votes for a 3rd party candidate like Jill Stein, or anyone other than Hillary Clinton, they will be essentially throwing away their vote and giving the election to Trump. We still have a two-party system, with all its faults, and this election is going to be very, very close. Your vote counts! Fellow Bernie supporters, follow his advice and vote for Hillary!

  2. I so agree, and am grateful to all the private and public comments supporting and advising this blog. I have received thoughts ranging from “Bravo!” to “be open-minded and tolerant of all views” to “i am with you completely!” to “thank you for offering this venue”. Conversation is what this is about. Without it, we understand so little of each other. Onward toward a positive outcome for all.
