Resilience: Leadership #4

“Leaders will have to give clear and decisive leadership towards a world of TOLERANCE and RESPECT for difference ~ and an uncompromising¬†commitment to PEACEFUL SOLUTIONS of conflicts and disputes.”………..”Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

The leaders are calling (shouting) for unity ~ in this grand passionate land of diversity and individual freedom. Today they are calling for tolerance and inclusivity. Are we capable? Can we ALL be leaders, by our vote? By our faith in the beauty and intelligence of this country and its historic place in the world, in the grand scheme of things?

Unity of leadership, of the sacred ideals of democracy, of standing for what is intelligent, good and generous….unity IN diversity, not in spite of it.

Conversations abound, discourse has never been so broadly embraced ~ in homes and schools, in stores and libraries, on the street and in the neighborhood ~ with strangers on the beach or on a trail, ~ Everyone is moving past the fear and into a resilience only found in strong, bold, intelligent communities….where education is a right AND a responsibility,… as we make our momentous decisions, choose leaders and platforms, philosophy and practicality, peace or volatility. Again and again, thankfully, we are resilient!
